These pictures come from an IKEA-commissioned publication entitled Hembakat är Bäst (“homemade is best”) featuring classic Swedish baking recipes, presented as graphic still-life portraits of their ingredients. The images were taken by photographer Carl Kleiner and his wife Evelina, who cited their influences as high fashion and Japanese minimalism, and designed by Forsman & Bodenfors.

From perfectly formed flour pyramids to bright golden yellow, isolated egg yolks and for those of you who are butter enthusiasts (ME), this looks the real deal.

London based animators and graphic artists Will Samuel and Jack Featherstone, who have independently and collectively been known to create work for Simian Mobile Disco, Adidas, Wallpaper, Don’t Panic, Socialistic etc, are the brains and braun behind Jack Holden’s music video for his latest release, Renata from his new album The Inheritors.

Using Pagan hieroglyphics as a continuos theme throughout, particularly drawing on the mystery that surrounds these symbols whose meaning is still unknown, they also utilise key futuristic elements which remain equally ambiguous, giving the idea that these two languages are trying to understand each other through this technological and seemingly very digital created space and time. However, perhaps the most interesting aspect for the digitally minded is that the entire moving project was almost all done by hand to create this digital means to a musical space.

In Those Jeans had the bright idea to invite a select pick of London’s design and art contingent to get their hands on pair of vintage 90′s jeans and have their wicked way them. The results were a fun mash up of silliness, beauty and sex, a perfect mix for an art show.

You’ll be happy to know that you have a month to get down to The Old Shoreditch Station to pull on a pair and see which one of the curve loving high-waist jeans suits you, its the classic 90’s fit with a tapered leg the best cut to accentuate the womanly shape. Even if you don’t have a flat stomach its fine the jeans gives you a butt what more do you want?
