Diana Brown & Barrie K Sharpe – ‘Masterplan’August 1st, 2012 by @nick1lewis1
Having been looking into some of the old pioneers in the UK fashion industry, the likes of Duffer and such, I came across Mr. Barrie Sharpe, an original Duffer man and some of you maybe familiar with Sharpeye. His own brand which had a shop across the road from Duffer in Covent Garden. I think they still have a store in Notting Hill if memory serves me correctly. During the early 2000′s they used to produce some incredible Denim jacket and jean combos, with zips all round the back. Sounds dreadful but believe me they were killer. Sharpeye is actually still producing some wicked gear, very much like the products I remember from way back, great jackets inspired by military cuts and parachute materials. Worth checking out for sure. While digging around looking into these late 90s British Brands I found out that Barrie was also a bit of a music maestro and ‘Masterplan’ is pretty damn good.
