Nike Bespoke M65 Jackets
July 18th, 2012 by @greg_bntlTo coincide with Nike’s ‘Greatness’ campaign this summer which celebrates commitment, dedication and achievement at the highest level, Nike has taken its iconic NIKE M65 jacket and created a unique edition for eight partnering British athletes. These athletes include Mo Farah, Mark Cavendish, Paula Radcliffe, Dai Greene, Loul Deng and Perri Shakes-Drayton.
Each individual NIKE M65 jacket is embellished with a personal mantra to each athlete as a symbol of inspiration. The bespoke NIKE M65 jacket came in a custom built wooden presentation box with a laser etched Union Jack on the lid.
In addition to the personal mantra printed in patriotic red on the inside placket, each NIKE M65 jacket features a bonded woven Union Jack stitched on the left arm with the individual athlete’s name embroidered on the Velcro name plate.
Since the launch of the NIKE M65 jacket back in August 2008 it has become a staple garment designed to stand up to the unpredictability that the summer can often bring. With its inspiration taken from Military design the NIKE M65 jacket features a Gore-Tex performance shell designed to keep the wearer both dry and comfortable.
See the photos below for when Scottie Pippen surprised Luol Deng with his bespoke NIKE M65 jacket at the World Basketball Festival and when Carl Lewis presented Perri Shakes-Drayton with hers.
