Flatbush Zombies X Red Bull Studios
April 29th, 2013 by @lauren_piresLast Thursday NYC’s Flatbush Zombies took over the Red Bull Studios in London, as part of Red Bull’s New York Departure Lounge events. Packed out the crowd were warmed up by DJs Alitrec, Koreless, Rudi Zygadlo, Throwing Snow, T Williams & Benjamin Damage. Complementary drinks from Red Bull and stacks on stacks of pizza completed the American atmosphere. Not to mention the dollar bill toilet roll$…
The crowd when nuts when the Zombies came out to perform, and soon shot straight off to the after party at The Alibi. Where things inevitability got hot, dirty, and very sticky. Still felt expen$ive with that dollar bill toilet roll though..
Thanks Red Bull!
Paris Is Burning – Documentary
April 2nd, 2013 by @misterlegoI got put onto this amazing documentary by a mate from NYC who was visiting London over the long Easter weekend. A recommendation which was initiated through curiosity, after watching this fan made Azealia Banks video for her track, Fierce. The fan made video uses cuts from the Paris Is Burning, a documentary film directed by Jennie Livingston.
Filmed in the mid-to-late 1980s, it chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the African American, Latino, gay and transgender communities involved in it. Many members of the ball culture community consider Paris Is Burning to be an invaluable documentary of the end of the “Golden Age” of New York City drag balls, as well as a thoughtful exploration of race, class, and gender in America.
I’m not going to front, it definitely is a wild one to watch, but well worth the 1 hour and 16 minute.

Kith NYC White Label Collection
March 27th, 2013 by @misterlegoReally feeling some of the garms from Kith NYC‘s latest collection. All pieces as you can see come in women and kids fits, as well as mens. Every garment is hand made in New York with no compromise made on style or quality across the genders and ages. I for one am sincerely impressed, and will definitely be keeping a closer eye on these cats across the pond. My personal stand out piece is the KITH X Ebbets satin jackets.
One another note, talk about the shoot isn’t it just so peaceful? the location and composition in every shot is so on point.
A$AP Rocky – Wild For The Night
March 26th, 2013 by @misterlegoSome real strong visuals in the latest A$AP Rocky video which has taken inspiration from the classic movie, City of God. Filmed in the Dominican Republic this one will surely have you begging for some sun in your life. Real shame about the ghastly song.
